Soon it will be over for 2017, a year well used up.
I wish you all a Healthy and Happy 2018 New Year, and a fun filled celebration tonight.

It's now 5 F. here, with a wind chill of -8, and its a-gonna be chillier this evening with a forecast of 3 at midnight. A good night to celebrate in place, if its a warm place.

Maybe a three dog night.

Happy New Year to everyone! I wish you all good health, happiness, and peace in the coming year.
Interesting link, Connie. It's funny, at the very moment I was reading your post and getting ready to click on the link, there was a waitress on whatever TV show is on who sat down and said, "Man, my dogs are tired."
P.S. Stay warm, all of you in the deep freeze! We're going into our second week of it here in Michigan.

Ha! That is funny, that it popped up right then! And there's also that old expression, "My dogs are barking."
Happy New Year from me too!

Hi, everyone! a little bit late but: HAPPY NEW YEAR! We're never in the mood to celebrate Christmas or the transition of the year, unless we're reminded by someone. It's too hot here and so we usually forget it. This time we even overslept the transition!
Nevertheless we toasted the other day and do hope for all people that 2018 will be better than that horrible 2017.

Well, for -6 F I was prepared in Switzerland, although even ther this temperature was rare. But then those wind chills make everything even worse. Hope it will soon be better!
I think in US you have almost all climatic zones, depending on the state. I've once been in Chicago and they said when in winter those fierce winds come together with the cold, it can be not only very dificult to bear, but in some cases also dangerous, that it happens that people are even swept into the Chicago river , if they goe to near. Is this true? We played once with the thought to immigrate to Chicago, because we loved this town so much. But because of such winters we decided not to do it.

Hope people there will not have to suffer too much.

In the 20's F. Gonna be chillier tomorrow.
A bit chillier Friday and beyond. Nothing like your world Becky.

Around here later January and February, and miserable March are usually the colder times, though still warm by your standards.

Still and all, a cup of Lyons Gold Blend Irish tea will make the evening comfortable.
