Summer arrived just in time for Memorial Day. High 90's over the holiday weekend and expecting our first 100's this weekend.
Annoying for us, but not as bad as the high 90's the poor folks in WI saw last week! Hope you all survived

Come visit us in San Francisco -- It's 60 degrees outside now ... Sunny, breezy & quite pleasant I'm a Native, and everyone born here succumbs to heatstroke if the temperature climbs above 70, LOL.

Yep, summer is definitely here, too! Today is the last day of May, and I learned from our local weather broadcast today that we've just had the second hottest May on record. After the horribly long, cold, snowy winter that many of us had, I was looking forward to spring and summer, but temps in the 90s, with stifling humidity, is not what I was hoping for.
Candi, I have visited California a couple times, and I always thought the climate of the north and central coasts was perfect, not too hot in the summer and not too cold in the winter! I'm envious.

The St. Louis area just had the hottest temps ever on record for May.
Looks like the coming week will be closer to normal, whatever that means.

I live a little south of Candi on the North-Central Coast, and we're having the same weather.
I grew up in the Boston area, but I've been here for many years. I admit to now being a weather-weenie too.

I've been keeping my mind off the heat by digging a new garden bed.

!!! And what willyou plant? We never plant in summer.
Here Winteertme is near (Brazil) Depending on the weather 14 to 16 degrees C in the night.
In the beginning we were laughing at the doddering Brazilians. But now, after nearly 10 years, our organism has more or less adapred and we have been digging after our okd thick blankets we used in Seitzerland. Sometimes good not to throw things away, just because we think, we will not need them any more.

Ah thanks, AGREED, Cheri -- And Santa Barbara, CA might even be The MOST Perfect ... But my hometown of SF is more scenic, with all our ocean, Bay, island, and mountain views, IMHO
