i've tried to read as many of the old posts as seemed relevant, but still curious as to what everyone else is using. i've also checked other boards and have found a few products mentioned there. vertex, missing link, nuvet, prozyme and solid gold sea meal are a few i have seen repeatedly. in considering what seems to be fairly common problems in dogs, it seems like antioxidants, omega oils, enzymes and probiotics are some of the things people are looking to add to the dog's diet. please share your results both good and bad.
(just recently someone else had posted that he was looking for dietary info and was hoping to compile, but i was not able to find that thread. anybody remember?)

I am the one who was interested in doing this but I have had NO support. Either everyone is too busy to provide me with their personal information or they figure I am not qualified to compile the information. Whatever the reason I thought I would be doing something of interest that would benefit everyone.

Personally, I don't measure every item I feed, so I can not help you without drastically changing the feeding habits around here. I suspect no one else jumped on the wagon for similar reasons.

I'll bite, I use the supplement Nupro Joint supplement http://www.nuprosupplements.com/dog.htm and have been VERY pleased with it. I believe it's very similiar to Missing Link but doesn't need to be refrigerated, and with my traveling with the dogs that is a plus. Hey, they use a GSD on the label!

I also use Nupro with joint supplement and highly recommend it. It lowers the shedding on my shepherd and he's always been very spry - although he's only 17 months old and I was very careful with his hips, etc. for the first year.
