Anybody add duck to their dogs diet? My son went to look at Rotties and said the dogs had the most incredible coats he had ever seen. Very little shedding, thick and very shiney. He asked the breeder what he fed and he said a good kibble and some duck now and then. Don`t know if it was raw or cooked.
The only thing needed for evil to exist is for good men to stand by and do nothing!!!
Roomies brother-in-law is a hunting and fishing guide. He and his chessie Wigeon make their living dealing with ducks. We get all the leftovers for free. Most hunters really aren't out there for the meat, so I get a lot of it.
My female will only eat it if I sear it in butter first, she doesn't like the way it feels apparently. Roomies bitch is the same way. All the dogs seem to shake it before eating it if they will eat it raw here. Now, you know... if it was $5 a pound they would LOVE IT.
I don't feel there is any one meat that is perfect to feed, but that variety is very important.
