Has anyone from this discussion board had attempts made by PETA soldiers to intimate them in person, mail or phone or via the internet, merely for having a legitimate business that concerns animals, or for having a kennel? Have you had changed laws in your township before locals realize it’s happening? There appears to be increasing discussion within political journalist groups that PETA does not work alone and this is not about animal rights. Some claim it is part of an umbrella group headed by a politically extreme German organization. The combined systematic and worldwide actions of these groups are intended to create extreme radical social change that will destroy the power of America. Is PETA about animal liberation and equality to humans and other kooky stuff? Or is this merely to distract us from the real, far wider issues of extremism aimed directly at the American way of life? News extract June 14:
Tax-exempt PETA supports eco-terrorism
PETA has grown increasingly radical, providing financial aid and comfort to individuals and groups involved in ecoterrorism; groups like the Animal Liberation Front and Earth Liberation Front, which the FBI reports have been involved in more than 600 attacks, causing more than $43 million in damage since 1996. PETA's tax-exempt status presumes that it operates exclusively for the charitable purpose of prevention of cruelty to animals. With an annual budget of $17 million, PETA can't be dismissed as a menagerie of harmless kooks. Consider the recorded comments of their spokesman, " we're going to be, as a movement, blowing stuff up” …….” Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it

I don;t know about the the rest of you but it's real plain to me that PETA is only a front for one thing. Making Money they prey on gullable people's minds to finance a bunk cause that sounds good...and of course there is always goign to be extrimists that take things into their own hands in the name of that cause, and of course the head group is going to support it, because they are living like kings laughing at the stupid people that continue the hype..it's always about money, don;t kid yourself thinking it's to bring down America, without America, they could not exist. You don't see any of this stuff in Cominuist China do you? Of course not, they are all shot on site.
If it looks like a cash cow, smells like a cash cow, it's usually a cash cow!

Well, thanks for cheering me up. I've heard alot about them recently - never knew they existed before. Did some research from there. Glad to know you think they aren't worth the worry (that's the feeling I got from your posts, I take it that's right). Alot more people take them far more seriously I can tell you. Paranoia - maybe - I don't know if they quite see it as the downfall of America, since PETA seems more busy making an impact in other countries right now, but they certainly see the work of PETA as something to monitor for it's far reaching and long term effects.

PETA is definitely strictly a money making organization, first and foremost. They love to take credit for newsworthy things, such as when the police bust a dogfighting ring (despite little to no involvement on PETA's part).
But their 'ethical treatment' of animals consists not of actually helping animals but euthanizing them. I've heard from many people involved in rescue that tried to get PETA's help (thinking they could help house/feed/place rescued animals), only to find out their solution was to kill them-they are strictly a propaganda machine.

I really think I need help.
Did anyone catch on MSNBC or CNN that PETA is now stating it is immoral to eat Honey?
They say it is produced by ENSLAVED honey bees!!!
It amazes me people can actually think these things up and bring them forward with a straight face.

Baywatch Babe's Lettuce Bikini Stops Berlin Traffic!
BERLIN, Germany -- Former Baywatch star and Playboy model Traci Bingham stopped traffic in Berlin by wearing a lettuce bikini to promote vegetarianism.
Bingham, who played the life-guard Jordan in the hit U.S. television series, spent more than half an hour Thursday posing for the cameras wiggling between a famous steak restaurant and Berlin's Kurfuerstendamm shopping street.
The protest was organized by the animal rights group PETA. Bingham's bikini of fake lettuce leaves carried a sign reading "Go Vegetarian!"
"I love to wear lettuce because I don't like to wear fur," said 34-year-old Bingham.
The restaurant sponsored a meat industry congress in Berlin this year. The manager asked Bingham to leave when she entered the restaurant with a crowd of reporters to order a vegetarian meal.
