According to most sources the only difference between the 4 varieties is the coat and colour. I have however heard elsewhere that the Mallinois is the best for protection/police duties and the Groenendael is the best for herding.
I am fascinated by Belgians and we dont have
many here in South Africa, especially the Lakeneois. My one dog's sire is a Groenendael
and he is still a young pup but I cant wait
to see how handsome he is going to be as an
adult!
My personal favourite though is the Terveuren
variety. They just look so regal.
Does anyone have any experiences with Belgians
especially Tervs and how they fare in manwork
and schutzhund training?
I personally know 2 Malinois that are most excellant in PSD work. They were trained by the same person too. Nero has made many arrests and Barry has only been here for 3 months and has already been racking up the arrests. Just wanted to brag about them!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
