I made a short video this past weeked of my pup, and I was wondering if anyone could give any opinions on her? I'm sure it's hard to tell just from a video but any thoughts are welcome (btw, I reaalize the leash is a bit tight on the running part, that's been fixed ). She is about 5 1/2 months old.
I would just post a link to the video directly but this never seems to work correctly...the video might take a while to load, it took about 4 minutes with my DSL connection, so just give it a while, it'll work eventually, I swear!

ugh, wonderful...do you have quicktime installed? i think you need it to be able to view the video. do you see a "q" where the video should be, or is it sorta an image of film that's ripped on the corner? not sure how to fix this, does anyone else have a problem?

I don't have the experience to give you an opinion on your dog but I can confirm that the video played in my browser. It took a while to load but it wasn't too bad.

I see it now, looks like she has a good grip, I like to see a little more intensity and speed going after the tug, you helper might want to stop moving after awhile to give her a chance to counter then he can release the tug, this way it teach the dog to fight for it, righ now it seems kind of easy for her to win the tug, once she learn that she has to fight for the tug, you should see alot more intensity, counter on the tug rather than just hanging on.
BTW I'm not a professional trainer, I just seen alot of different dog works and I base my opinion on that. I'm sure the pro on this list can give you better opinion than mine.
Good luck.

Meghan, She looks very good, especially considering her age. Strong prey drive and grip. Keep up the good work. Who is it that is working the dog in the video?

Ok, I'm glad the video is working, I was getting worried! Thanks for the comments, it's my husband working her, I've been doing all her training myself and I didn't want to be in a video (I am VERY camera shy!) so I got him to work her for me. I got him to watch "the drive, focus, and grip" and the "preparing your dog for the helper" videos since the video, they do a much better job of explaining things than I do!
