does anyone have any experiance with or no much about a line breeding 2-2 on a sire. I've heard it can be a vary vary good thing or vary bad. Ed has 2 females avalible that are breed 2-2 on otis and I'm wondering if it's worth the risk to get one and then find out that it was a bad thing.
My pup is coming this week, which is 3-3 on Mink and 2-2 on Otis. My current club has some excellent Mink grandson’s. Very full grips with hard temperaments. I have had 2 Otis sons both excellent nerves and temperaments. You must search hard and long to get a better stud dog than Otis.
Chris1 Befor I put down a deposit on to his pup I spoke to Ed about this he said that that he was doing this breeding for himself because he wanted to keep back a bitch for himself. He also said that he probley will not be doing another 2-2 on Otis because he wanted to breed Rambo (because he is a older dog)and Giddon has healthy sperm again. I hope this info help's you.
I have a young female whose mother is 2-2 on Mink. She will probably prove to be that "once in a lifetime dog" for me. Ed knew Otis well and what he produces. I would trust his judgement and take the chance. I have seen several really super Otis sons and I don't think you could go wrong. Only person that I would turn away from this breeding would be a first time handler. From what I have seen, Otis produces very strong dominant males and probably too much dog for a newbie.
