call me ignorant but I need some info from people who have raised malinois pups. I've had german shepherds before but have had a mal pup for just over a week. She's 11 weeks now and her ears have been fine but the tips are starting to flop around and look like they may fold over! She's a real little batty ears and I havnt let anyone play with them to let them develop. Is she just going through a growing phase or should I start taping them now (trying to avoid it if possible) Maybe some little cardboard supports
Perfectly normal at 11 weeks, they will go up and down until the adult teeth start to come in, usually around 4 to 5 months of age. If you think there might be problems with the cartilage stiffening up, you can tape them. I think there's a company that actually sells small braces for just that purpose, but adhesive tape, a couple of sponge rollers and some Skinbond work too . Do a search on the forum, I'm sure the topic's been covered, there's probably a good taping method described somewhere on here.
Just so you know, it doesn't take up any of Leerburg's server resources for a picture to be shown if it is hosted on another server. It just means that the person viewing the forum has to load the pic every time they view the topic (unless the pic is in their cache). This can make the page load slower, but it doesn't take up any of Leerburg's resources.
