anyone out there with a working giant with cropped ears? am i going to lose valuable training time babying his ears for a month or so? i'll never crop again!
My Giant is cropped, the Mini too, we didn't lose any thing in the process. Just don't bang the ears around when you play with him. Once the stitches are out and the ear leather has healed they won't bother the pup at all.

Giants ears heal faster and stand easier than any other cropped breed. This is often why they can be cropped at a younger age and need the bandage stints for a much shorter time. Rarely does any thing go wrong -I have seen irresponsible people remove the bandages way earlier than they were supposed to and the ears where perfectly set already. Also these dogs feel less pain than most breeds so cropping doesn't phase them or any training you'd like to do. Welcome to a world of GIANT fun!
