One of the best, if not THE best dobermannstud in recent times is gero v.d mooreiche. He has placed second two times at the SCHmeisterschaft for dobermanns in germany, whit high scores, 98points in the protection, his halfbrother Larry v.d mooreiche won the meisterschaft in 95 whith the scores 99.95.100. Gero has earned the name "King Tiger" from germanys finest helpers. Gero is the sire of several german PSDs, including the winner of the german policedogs trail, faro v.d Scwellenburg. He is also sire to winner of the 1997 D.V meisterschaft. Another strong stud is Mannix v.d weyermuhle, german PSD, a very tough dog whit a bitingpower that was described as "brutal". He has a soon working as PSD in germany and he is also sire of the winner of the 1997 meisterschaft, alfred v.d urftquelle. A very strong bitch is kleo v.d weyermuhle, german PSD and the winner of 1996 IDC World schutzhund champion. Look for these dogs in the pedigree and you probably will have good dobes,
O.K. Stig that came straight off the Blitzkrieger web-site, and besides that Gero is dead. He was a nice dog though, no doubt. As far as top "producing" studs though I would go with Jivago v.h. Wantij or one of the many Neerlands Stam boys.
I know that both gero and mannix are dead, and kleo is very old know, but my point is that if you are looking for really strong dobes these dogs would be nice to have in the peedigre.. Gero has a son bronco v.d doberwache,PSP-tested and a good SCHdog, this dog many serious breeders use today. The lines these dobermanns come from have proven to be the strongest if you are looking for real good dobes suited for topsport and servicework. The dutch dogs you mentioned Jivago v.h wantij and the neederlandstamm dogs, are dogs
from dual sport and showlines. Some of these dogs are good workingdogs, but it seems to me that they are more concerned whit conformation than really strong dobes.
Erik v Strundertal, Bronco Doberwache, Doberwaches Amatzon, Eiko v Bayern are some of the best around. Jivargo vh Wantij is a show dog and I wouldn't breed to Neerland stamm if you paid me. These are show dogs.
The two lines you go for are Bayern and Weyermuhle. They are both very different. You will get more aggression from Bayern. He has line bred on Falk and Eick v Eschenhof among others. Both Falk and Eick were more serious than Bingo was.
Gero Moorieche was the best producer of the last few years. He managed to produce over various different bitches. Faro Schwellenberg was a son of Gero to a DDR bitch. A 100% outcross that produced a police dog champion.
Jivago is a show dog huh? LOL. A show dog with an IPO III and several litters of proven working offspring. Don't hate on the dog because he's also conformationally correct. If your not into the total Dobe you shouldnt be into them. I will agree with you from the Bayern and Weyermuhle standpoint, but the question was top producing studs available. Unless you speak fluent German your going to have hard time with Bayern, and good luck finding a Weyermuhle stud.
Jivago is a show dog. How many of his offspring are in the working championships? How many are working police dogs?
The total dobermann = The total compromise.
The person who invented the breed only invented the breed to be a working dog NOT a conformation dog. FACT. Unless you are breeding for working ablities then you should not be into the breed. If you breed dobermanns you should continue the ideals of the person who invented it.
The show people say that you should breed for both conformation and working abilities. I don't know one show kennels that has bred to a working dog like Bingo or Falk or Erik or Gero M to improve their working ablities. They will sacrifice drive for topline but NEVER sacrifice a good topline to improve nerves etc.
thanks guys..
so at this stage the dogs to look out for are Bronco vd doberwache, Mannix v.d weyermuhle does anyone have contact to the owners of these dogs?
