I am new to Sch. and just got a female GSD puppy. I don't know what to look for or expect as far as certain "lines"...Here are a few of what I think are notable dogs in the pedigree, any comments on what to look for in this dog, what i should expect, etc. would be greatly appreciated:
Link von Muikenshof, Harro aus der Lechrainstadt, Fado von Karthago, Troll von der Bosen Nachbarschaft, Yoschy von der Dollenwiese, Arec vom Bunsenkocher, King vom Korbelbach, Sid vom Haus Gremm, Greif vom Herkulesblick, Karlo von Peko Haus, Arthus von Lunsgolz......
I was just wondering if, because of one or more of these dogs, I should look for rank issues, problems with the "aus", any difficulties, etc. in this puppy. This is my first working line dog and I just want to know what i have, in the opinion of the experienced people out there who know what to look for and expect in a dog....
A friend of mine has a retired bitch out of Arthus v. Lunsholz lines. This was an excellent SchH dog in her day (made SchH3 and had a memorable, crushing grip). Nice temperament, not a hard dog at all, great tracker, a very high defensive threshhold though. Strictly a sport dog.
You've got a lot of very well-known West German dogs in that pedigree. I'm sure others on this board have dogs out of Sid Haus Grimm, King Korbelbach, Fado Karthago, Troll et al. Folks?
Anyone else help with specific info on dogs out of Link von Muikenshof, Harro aus der Lechrainstadt, Fado von Karthago, Troll von der Bosen Nachbarschaft, Yoschy von der Dollenwiese, Arec vom Bunsenkocher, King vom Korbelbach, Sid vom Haus Gremm, Greif vom Herkulesblick, Karlo von Peko Haus? Let's give this guy a hand--sounds like he has a real "project" on his hands here! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
Pete:
The immediate parents were not titled; they were both a year and a half and this breeding was an accident. The male "snuck" into the female's kennel. They are both from a kennel in Italy: di Oroval.
