There's also a SchH club in Mindoro, WI (near La Crosse) that has a large Boxer contingent. If you're interested I can get you the contact info. I met the training director once and he's trained Boxers up to the SchH3 level.
It's like any other working breed Johnny. You have to research the Pedigree and see what you are getting. My boxer has several Champions in his pedigree but they are show quality dogs. He is being shown also. I don't think Boxers bred in America would be SCH caliper dogs but neither are 99% of the other Working breeds either. I have a 9 weeks old bitch that has a fierce drive and isn't afraid of anything. Maybe its because she doesnt know any better yet. If she continues to keep the drive she has I will probably try working her just to see if she can handle it. Do a search on the net. Lots of info. Good Luck.
I know this is late, but I just jound the list. I have a three year old boxer that I got at 12 weeks old. He was burn here in the states but is all German working lines. I have also brought him to a SCH 3.Boxers do very well in Schutzhund and also in ring sport. In Europ just a couple of years a go boxers were seconed only to the GSD. I belive this is were they are today. There are 5 or 6 SCH 3 boxers here in the states and I dont know how many more with BH and SCH 1 and SCH 2. You can go to the Untied States boxer Association web site.
Is this that crazy guy with the drivey boxer in New Orleans? Not only did you put a SchH III on a boxer but you also got invited to go to Europe for the championships. It's the little things that Morris leaves out. Mabey it was just that excellent helper work that you have been getting lately :-)
I guess that would be me. Yes you have been doing soom good helper work with Hawk.Steve maybe you could tell a little something about boxers in protection?
Morris, you and Hawk did a great job this past weekend earning a SchH3 title. I think Hawk was a little more relaxed then you were. Hope the donut helped you before the Trial. Enjoyed seeing you again.
yes, Steve can bring out alot in a Good Dog. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Post some of his scores since his SchH1 and that might make some of these experts think a little differently. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Didn't you two get a 99 in SchH2 tracking. What about the other scores.
Do you want to take my bitch GSD with you to Tom Rose School??
