Nothing profound to discuss. Have been reading the
book GSD today by Winifred Strickland. She says that many Sch dogs dont allow examination of the testicles because they are kicked there to make them more aggressive. Is this a common practice ? or is this just misinformation by a show line spokesperson ?. I have heard that bull testicles are compressed by tying a rope or something to get them excited for rodeos <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
i have never heard of such a practice, but there certainly are a lot of unethical methods used in training.
i have seen some of strickland's dogs. they are very nice. she has been involved with GSD's since the 40's or 50's.
could this info been outdated?
A dog teaches a boy fidelity, perseverance, and to turn around three times before lying down.

Maybe that's why some male pups are born with only one nut!! The evolution of the GSD is trying to take this painful technique away by just not leaving a door open to do this sort of training.
I went to a police decoy seminar where the instructor used "Edison Medicine" on a dogs testicles to get it's focus off the sleeve and on the man. Ouch! Of course, he was humane about it. First he zapped the dog on the muzzle (being sarcastic).
