Hi to my favorite dog experts.
Puppy man's new teeth are coming in-oh joy, the biting/chewing on me is fierce now, but great thing EXCEPT
the old baby teeth are still quite firmly implanted in his mouth. His top canines are starting to look sharky...double rows, and the bottom teeth-heck, I think those are his babies, they are all chipped, but the gums underneath are awful big-like the new teeth WANT to come in but have nowhere to go.
He seems as active and wild to bite as ever, he has to be pinned for me to really feel around in there, but he seems to have no pain.
Vet? No vet?
Usually they will come out on their own given a little time and some thing hard to chew on. In some cases the puppy teeth have to be pulled if they are caught too tightly by the adult teeth coming in.

My 6 month old pups baby teeth all came out except for one. I am waiting for that last one to fall out. Its real loose and wiggles if touched. It just takes time. I noticed the adult teeth comes out and helps pushes the baby teeth out. I sometimes give my pup a raw bone to chew on to assist the teeth about to fall out.
When my pup's bottom k9's started coming in, her baby teeth moved over to the outside of the new ones, which I assume was not to comfortable. As these two were pretty loose and becoming bloody. I wet down wash cloths and froze them, giving to her to gum on. It assisted her w/those needles as well it took care of the mess associated w/them plus they provided one for keeping :-)
My pup swallowed most of his puppy teeth....one time I assist a removal of a baby teeth using a towell.....the tooth came out and he gulped it down before I could get to it. I was only able to fine/save 3 or 4 teeth. I noticed the baby teeth has no roots to them too.
The only thing you need to do is be sure that they DO eventually come out. If they don't by the time they are 10-12 months old they can cause the adults to become crooked or cause the teeth to rub into the gum above or below them. If they don't come out on their on consider letting your vet lightly sedate and pull them....but give them a chance. If they are loose they should come out on their on.
