There are several ways to handle this one may be to contact the local police dept and animal enforcement office to set up an investigative sting. These people have the access to a person background information. When the person who picks up the puppy ( you can be sure it wont be the people from the labs or scammers who want the puppies )arrives You tell this person that you are investigating this matter and that cherges will be brought against them if they dont cooperate. Chances are they are only looking to make a quick dollar for a simple task so they will either give you information or get the message back that it is being investigated and this could be used as a deterence. Good Luck I do a thorough background, when ever I have a litter of puppies for sale, on perspective new owners. This may be a little expensive but I owe it to that puppy that I am placing into someone elses hands.
