Hi David.
I own a boarding kennel in Lake Luzerne and 3 of my clients have german shepherds from the sunnysideacres kennels in Broadalbin. They are beautiful. My clients have no complaints on their German Shepherds.
I own a beautiful 7yr old pure black female German shepherd and have been looking into finding a companion shepherd puppy for her. Sunnysideacres was going to be the kennel of my choice...How ever I'm still saving money as her prices are a bit steep for my budget. You should go there and take a look at her shepherds. Its not far from you in Gloversville.
good luck

David-
I looked at the link. The kennel is all show. Fiemereck, Monchburg, etc are show kennels. If you want a show dog go there otherwise look for a working dog kennel.
Go check out Ed's or Todd's litters. Very nice and worth the money if you want a working dog. Also there are other good working kennels that I have not mentioned. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
While I agree the prices are a little steep, they do breed working to working and show to show... they are not trying to mix.
Gotta say on the pup page, I like the looks of Xalvo v Karthago. Damn good looking pike son. That ain't no showline dog. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
thank you for your help. I know work for her kennel part time and find that she has great dogs there. She does have working lines and German show lines.

This kennel may have some nice pups, but her prices are out-freakin-rageous!!!! And it sure appears that she simply produces nice pets with nice temperaments and looks, but this isn't even close to the kind of place I would look for a working puppy. You can get incredibly well bred working pups out of Europe (including shipping) for less than hers, by far.
Lee I have to agree. If I'm going to pay those kind of prices for a puppy, I'll buy it from Germany. Heck I just did and still didn't pay that for the breeders pick! Almost like she's charging showline prices for working pups. You can also get well bred working lines here in the US for less than that. But it's all up to what you want to spend.
I now have a pup from Ed Frawley and she is great. I will be looking for a trainer in/around the Albany area to help me put a SCH title on her. Her drives and nerves are better then sunnysside Kennel . ALL pups that i saw seamed to have thin nerves. They spooke easy . My pup need more to scare her. I have had her since the 2nd week of July and have taken her to as many places that i could think of and she has been willing to go. She will go with me in a strange place and show no fear. At five month of age she showes much promas. Unlike other dogs the i have seen.
