I've noticed that my female, (9 months) is not as enthused over the tug as before. She's displaying slight behavioral changes, but no swelling, etc.
How can I work her through this? Is this a normal thing or something to be concerned about???? I've always had male dogs so this is a "first".
My rott bitch has just finished her second season, she too went a bit wussy in regards bite work, I dealt with it by basically giving her a break for a few weeks whilst she went through the heat period. I guess they feel a bit like a woman ovulating, they've got lovin' on their mind not killin'.Its part and parcel of owning a bitch rather than a dog.
A good tip is that if you want to take her for a walk is to put her in the car and drive her a few blocks then let her out. If you walk her direct from your place you'll have every canine desperado in the heigbourhood following her scent home and hanging around wanting to intoduce themselves to your girl.
Don't kid yourself, many of us (trust me) would be doing the killin' over the lovin' LOL
