My female is tagging me. More like punching me. She will only do it when her collar is off and I don't have the remote in my hand. I've tried hiding the remote in my shirt. So leave the collar on? E collar rash. I know she is collar smart but that came with her. It's mostly when I get up in the morning and she can get me when I least expect it. It's so fast and she takes off after that so I can't get a good response time on a correction. If you'd like more history on her I can do that.
My female used to think I was a springboard... now I just keep an eye out and say off when she is headed my way. She doesn't try it half as much as she used to?!?!
Nothing like getting punched in the guts first thing in the AM...
She's great with sits platz and will hold it if she's not cranked up. Maybe get the dvd on drive and focus so she knows how to control herself when she is excited? The only thing is, when she gets cranked up my male will throat her then she turns into Miss snappy jaws. Maybe I should be working on him?
Geez Deanna,I was just musing today about my 11 month old male,he knows "off" but does fly bys that are insane! He knows not to jump up on,punch,or play bite me when greeting when I say off,so he leaps up at me and at the last second just misses and goes whizzing bye only to do it again from a different angle, then if I stop walking he will do a front sit blocking my movement then jump up and down barking and snapping just inches from my face until I tell him sitz, then I love/rub him up and he's ok for the rest of the day, this happens to me every morning but it sounds like I'm not alone in this.
