I am looking at breeding one of my females to a male that would produce a little with 2-3 linebreeding on Xato. What is everyones opinions on that? I know 2-2 is considered taboo, is 2-3 too close?
Shannon, do you know how many dogs are called Xato?!! Which one do you mean?? Also why would 2-2 linebreeding be considered taboo..?? a 2-2 isn't necessarily a bad thing..For instance Collin von Haus ming and Dolf von Haus Ming are linebred 2-2 on Mink Haus Wittfeld..and they seem to be ok..What is your dog's kennel name - if we know more about your bitch's bloodlines and those of the dog you propose to use then people will be able to discuss the strengths/weaknesses of this proposed breeding...
Without more info....no-one can help.
Sorry for not being more specific! The Xato I am refering to is Xato vdb Nachbarschaft, you can view my females pedigree here http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/399253.html
I realize there are some good dogs with 2-2 linebreeding, but in general I know most breeders wont do it, I will find the link for the males pedigree and post it soon!
