Green tripe is the stomach of a cow or sheep not sure which one. It is used as "ofal" in the raw food diet. I guess humans eat it too, I haven't tried it. I feed it to my dog though, she likes it. You should be able to get it from a local butchar.
if you use the search feature on this board you can find a LOT of information on tripe. I feed it once a week to my dogs.
You won't get green tripe at your local butcher unless they are actually slaughtering cows on the premise. It can be hard to get in some areas (like here- we have it shipped in from NY) but the dogs say it is worth it. :-)
I agree with Nancy- it does smell worse than cow chit. Cross the smell of bile with chit and that is about right...
