I wish not to start a big thread about who's a hero, because this is not the place. I just wanted to merely pass this along to friends alike. However, a man that will volunteer to leave his family, wife, mother, kids, american way of life, to go away to foriegn land, and face horrific sights and feelings and come to terms with death, and moreover your death, and be willing to die on some foriegn soil in a unfamiliar place with people who are your friends but you've only known them for maybe a couple of years if that. Also, just because you live through it and come back home, you live and fight that same war everyday for the rest of your life everywhere you go, sleep, eating, work, family time, that war is always there and alive. I maybe a little biased being a Army infantry paratrooper myself and former Marine, I say it takes a hero from the start to be willing to do this job . I mean that statement for my brothers in arms, not for me, I'm honored to serve with such.
Cathy,
Your words are greatly appreciated by all veterans. It's people like you that make it not in vain.
THANKS

Chris,You better damn well believe that I signed the petition and added my two cents..publicly.The media needs to keep their nose out of what will sell for their ratings!!!Those high on the totem pole politically..need to get out of their chair and actually live and fight in the enviroment that our soldiers do..Before placing judgement!!They need to moreso than ever..protect the pride and the sacrifice of the "INDIVIDUAL" that is on duty..They need to take off the ties and see if they could perform to standards..in a given situtation.Politics suck as far as I am concerned. It is entirely money based.Meanwhile all the "Grunts" suffer.I commend all of are forces that are there..whatever rank..doesnt matter to me.Here in the USA..Christmas..is as usual...which pisses me off.If you would ..please tell all your "brothers" and "sisters" that are going thru Hell..that I wish I was there with them and could "cover" their back. I would do it in a heartbeat!! I tryed twice to join the marines..First was rejected years ago because i was a single mother..Tryed later and they said I was too old.I was 35..Now isn't that just shit!! Now I am 47. My dad was a marine..and he never had a son..sooo he taught me.You can damn well bet your ass..if I was there..I would kick some butt..and die in the process..in protection of the group that was sent out.God Bless You and all your brothers.. Please do me a favour and let me know how this marine is doing..and the followup of the petition. My e-mail address is raintreekennels@gulftel.com Thank you.Take care..Be safe
