Just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. We have a purebred German Shepherd Pup who is 12 weeks old. We plan on participating in SchH and have been reading and researching Ed's site for some time now. I don't really have any problems with our pup (as of yet!)..as we've been following Ed's advice to a T and all is going great. Our pups name is "Zeus". He's a nice sable working shepherd with a good pedigree.
We have begun basic prey drive work and building his self confidence through visits to busy areas which include traffic and people. He's quick to learn, adapted with ease to his create, (actually seems to enjoy it in there!!) and housebreaking seems to be happening without any issues or problems. He's scratching on the door to go out himself! ( Excuse my excitment on that one..I have never had it so easy with a pup before!)
Any advice on continuing our early imprinting work for schH at his age of 12 weeks would be greatly appreciated.
I'll try to get a pic of our pup in the proper area of the site to share.
Welcome Laura! Sounds like you have a great puppy! Congradulations and enjoy the "puppy age" they grow SO fast!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Thankyou for the warm welcome. You're right, they DO indeed grow fast. I've taken digital pics of him weekly just to see the difference and all I have to say is "Wow"
I fear each time I open the create after a long nap...wondering...just how much MORE did he just grow! :-)
