Not for any sort of competitive training, but I remember that I found the information in this book quite useful, and has a few handy commands as well. The basis of the training involved a sort of 'tree' showing which vocabulary words the dog should learn before proceeding to others. The idea is to be able to increase your dog's vocabulary to a point where you can suggest a lot of ideas to her and she'll do it. However it is very informal, there is no 'heel' in this book for instance, I doubt the retrieve is solid, but I'm amazed at how the author had managed to get a Samoyed to do all of these--so the information must be worth something. If nothing at all it gives you a few additional commands to teach your dog when you don't have time.
