This guy below has figured out why there are dog fight problems at Dog Parks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your dog may be trained but maybe the wrong teacher out of date did the job. That’s a possible cause of behavior problems at dog parks.

Unbelievable. I could barely get through first couple of posts then I had to stop. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/elconi13/esmilis/yikes.gif "When I try to pull him off another dog, he actively resists, and actually runs in circles around the "down" dog so I can't grab his collar. Our trainer says "no harm, no foul" and that we should just let him play. He says that even when the other dog is whining and yelping, it is just play noises unless the dog gets hurt. He says that pulling the dogs apart actually prevents them from learning proper play, and can promote aggression on Magic's part. ..... I would like to meet this trainer... http://img20.exs.cx/img20/36/VeryFunny.gif

There is an un-neutered yellow lab at the dog park I have been frequenting who has been getting more and more aggressive with the other dogs as it matures. I talked to the wife/owner a few days ago about the need to get the dog neutered
WOW!! these people are absolutely **IGNORANT** hhhmmmmm Lets see These people think, I frequent my dog to this one park, where there are always many, many dogs, and because his "Natural in the wild" instincts are kicking in and he is looking for bitches, with all these strange males around, I think it's only right that that family CUT HIS FREAKIN BALLZ OFF!!! Geez poor dogs!! These people have zero understanding of a dogs pack and wild instinct which is the foundation I believe of dog training. Sometimes I envy third world countries, some of them Neuter and it ain't the animals.

I know I'm going to get crap for this but I take my dogs to the park daily, I don't have a fence and there is a sixty acre park five minutes from me. I understand the concerns over dog parks that a lot of people have but with the size of this park and the early morning hours that I go I have never had a problem. Of course my dogs are trained and I don't allow them to socialize with dogs I don't know.
I have met some really stupid people at the dog park. I also had one lady threaten to call the police on me for assault because I yelled at her for not picking up after her dog.

Chris, I disagree with you. Stop and think about the people who own the dogs at the dog park. They have no business with an intact dog. They aren't responsible enough to get their dog trained, so they certainly aren't responsible enough to breed their dog or allow it to impregnate some other ignoramus' dog. These people are NOT the same calibur of people as owners of working dogs. The general public, and owners of mixed-breed dogs SHOULD have their dogs spayed or neutered.

Kristen,
This is probably totally a man thing for me, But I just find it disgusting that owners who have no control over their dogs, feel that instead of correcting their pet owner/handler problems, the solution is always to slice off balls, I mean this people will cut for anything, uh oh, my dog sneezed it must be testosterone, Doc cut em' it' just ain't right, you know. Hey I'm a stupid pet owner who have zero clue on how to teach a dog manners, so, instead of learning I"ll just put the blade to his balls, that just doesn't set right with me. Even though they aren't in our world, basic OB would fix most of their problems, and those poor male dogs would be able to go home and lick themselves all they want!

You are absolutely right that basic obedience would solve most of the problems, but again, stop and look at the owners. Even if the owner did take the time to get the dog trained, his dog could still get loose and get some other idiot's dog pregnant, or get hit by a car, or get into a fight with another dog over a female, etc. My thoughts are this: if you AREN'T involved in showing or competing with your dog, then he should not be bred, and should therefore be sterilized so accidents cannot happen. As I said before, the general public is not responsible enough to have an intact animal, male OR female.
There is a 'new' procedure out that allows the dog to keep his "jewels," by the way. It's called Neutersol, and it is an injection. It keeps the dog from being able to reproduce, but it doesn't get rid of the testosterone because the gonads are still there. So, by going this route, no one would be the wiser, and the dog could still lick himself to his heart's content! lol
