i have an 11 week old male german shepherd and im trying to get him to obey some basic commands and i was wondering if any of you could let me know what an 11 wk old puppy is capable of learning. this is my first german bloodline shepherd and i really want to do everything right. thanks alot
Best answer -- Get the Leerburg Puppy video "8 wks to 8 months". If you intend to work the dog, the "Raising a Working Puppy" video is also good.
Quick answer, "No", "Come", "Sit", "Down", "Kennel Up". It's a good time to start on "Watch Me". Keep it motivational and the training periods very short. Don't expect or insist on perfection. Expect less from show line dogs.
