If glucosamine chondroitin promotes cartilage regeneration and healthy joints, it stands to reason that we should be giving our dogs a dosage everyday. Is my reasoning flawed?
I do give my dogs a dose everyday even though they have no joint problems. It's a preventative measure especially since they are being worked. It certainly can't hurt <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I have a small dog that is 10 years old, a mixed breed, that after walking all day couldn't hardly get up in the evening. The vet gave me very expensive pills to give her, they didn't do anything so I purchased from a catalogue glucosamine and MSN which she has been taking for nearly a year and she runs around like a young dog. They really work and the two together cost about $20.00.

I agree with this thread. Not only do I mix my dogs 99.9% glucosamin in my O.J. every day, I have seen dramatic results with my older dogs. I have an older stud dog that I thought I was going to have to put down last winter. He was loosing control of his rear end. He is alive today because of gluecosamin.
