It's a preventative measure especially since they are being worked. The vet gave me very expensive pills to give her, they didn't do anything so I purchased from a catalogue glucosamine and MSN which she has been taking for nearly a year and she runs around like a young dog. Not only do I mix my dogs 99.9% glucosamin in my O.J. every day, I have seen dramatic results with my older dogs. I have an older stud dog that I thought I was going to have to put down last winter.
