I've talked with Al about this over the phone, and I thought I'd share what I told him from my experiences as a Canine vendor:
I can provide most people with a line on a good Mal within a one month period.
I can provide the same for a good GSD usually within six weeks.
A good Rottie takes me three to five months to find, at a minimum.
A good Dob takes me two to three years to find.
Again, those are just *my* experiences from the past ( but I do provide a fair amount of dogs and/or referrals ). This is for untrained dogs, of course.
And finding a dog depends on what the client is looking for as an end goal.
Other folks may have different opinions here, of course.
I'd like to know what Rotty people consider good. I see Rotts that either do nothing or are to high in aggression for my liking. I'll keep my Mals. at least I can pick them up without breaking my back...ha..ha..
