This is a classic; Today we got our fist snow, welcome to NEBRASKA! Anyway, all last weekend my wife has me outside putting up Christmas lights, I don't mind as the weather is good, still in the 50s. I'm not turning them on yet, but hey, it'll be out of the way and I won't have to fuss with it when it is like -5 F. So, last year my wiffe gets this HUGE 8' Santa that blows up for the yard, she gets it on clearance for like $12.00 instead of $80.00. So today I get home early from work, and I figure that I'll put this thing up, it is about 2:30PM, I have to pick up little people from school at like 3PM. My wife has my German Shepherd, a BIG male named Luke with her, as she is taking him to the vet for a check up. I go and get the kids from school, we get home right as my wife gets home with the dog, my 6 year old daughter walks up next to Santa as I turn on the blower that inflates Santa. About this time my wife opens the back of the jeep, and out comes Luke, he sees this huge Santa suddenly spring to life next to "his" six year old, my daughter. He never so much as growls, just clears the new snow drift in the front yard, and takes maybe one step and goes airborne, lands on my new Santa and rips the chest and neck out of it. All before I could even get the word "out" out of my mouth. He then trots non-chalantly into the front door, as if to say "hey, did you see me deal with that 8' menace?"
The wife and I are just standing there stunned, as it hits us that we probably ought to have introduced him to it BEFORE he saw this things spring up next to the children. We got a good laugh out of it, after the intitial shock. My six year old never so much as batted an eye, she was inside making sure that he had food in his bowl before I ever got into the door.
If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking.

I laughed out loud when I read that.
Good boy Luke

I'll send you my 8' Frosty the Snowman, get yourself a video camera, rerun this action, and send the video to "America's Funniest Animals"
