Connie, she appears to be in good health. I have not had a physical done yet due to her being in heat. I did not want to give her any vax while she was in heat and she has not yet had a rabies vax. My vet's policy is that they have to have all their vax to be treated. so, no, there has been no fecal. I'm not sure why she would need one. Reasons?
I took her to his office on March 3 to have her weighed so I would know exactly how much she weighed and could quit guessing, so that I could be more correct on the amount of food. If you remember, I am the one that was overfeeding. Sometimes she still will do a little throw up after eating but I think that is what you called a mechanical thing.
She gets exercise, although this winter, outdoor exercise was at best sporadic and then with her being in heat, it was almost impossible for walks due to strays, but we still play fetch, ball and do lots of ob training in the house to tire her.
She is very playful and never seems to run out of energy.
She is a 'food hound' so far as any crumb she can find that is not offered she will try to eat. (my 2.5 yo grandson is here a lot, so I have to always keep her in crate or tethered when he has something to eat and she always is checking for extra food. Or when I am cooking she sniffs the air and will even bark. So I don't think it is lack of appetite. Treats with training really get her going, too, so she doesn't seem to lack appetite. I started cutting back on the treats when she got picky about the chicken.
She started out sooooooo good on the wings but now I wonder if she knows she gets better food than the kibble, she is getting picky.
The pooping is going much better. Most of the poop mistakes were mine and I can definitely see a change in bowel habits being more regular and consistent since she is about 80% on the housetraining now.
It is only my guess that she has gained some weight based on picking her up and the tightness of her halter, but I will have her weighed at the vets again this week. (I don't have a scale at home, got rid of it when I didn't agree with what is read that I weigh.)
I apologize for the long post, I'm trying to get all the facts out there 'cause you're the best at this nutrition thing.
I reaaalllly, reaaallly, reaally want her on raw RMB's but she just seems to refuse the chicken now.
Any help appreciated.
ps
I don't know if you read it but she likes sardines and mackerel. I have been giving her more of it so she would have bones in her meal but it seems rich and makes her a little runny if she has it two meals in a row.
If I can't get her to eat RMB's, I will stil keep her on raw of some sort but will need to know how much calcium to add. Also are there any more supplements if they don't eat bones?
