Actually, I didn't respond to you at all when you sent me that PM.

alyssa both those dogs were sleeping and when my sister took the picture, sam woke up, sorry you are wrong, those dogs are still in the day care today and play all day long, not showing any aggression or dominace, im not sure you know what your looking at. both my dogs have fallen asleep next to each other at times Daegon has moved and his head is on top of maximus is that dominant behavior or a dog moving in his sleep????
It's dominant behavior.

Now, thats funny right there! She went to another site and was poo poo'd in about a week. Guess they didn't much care to inflate her ego as well.

Michael,
Once again you are confusing dominant behavior with aggression. Whether displays of dominance lead to aggression depend in large part on how the dominated dog reacts. My GSD is quite dominant and sometimes when sleeping lays his head on our other dog as you describe. Yes, it looks cute. The reason it is not an issue in this case is because our other dog is very submissive, accepts his lower pack rank and so does not react. However, if the GSD were to try this dominant posturing with another dominant dog we would probably have a fight on our hands, which is why I am very careful to limit and control the circumstances under which he interacts with other dogs.
I have to say that I agree with other posters that for a "certified master trainer" to be ignorant of this kind of basic canine behavior is not encouraging. To be real blunt, you are making a fool of yourself on this and other threads in front of some very experienced people.

these are dogs that see each other all the time in the day care, there are no dominant dogs, except for my own, they are the pack leaders and keep the peace in the pack, very amazing to see. they show no agresssion cause i dont let them. wat your seeing is not what you think, i see it all day with all diffrent dogs as far as the certified master trainer yes it is a stupid saying that i do not go by, maybe 20 years of trainging under my belt, i may consider it, like i wrote befor, my sister had our brochures made up, she had a copy of the certificate, the person making the brochures put it yes it is a stupid title i do not go by. someone askes me what i do i tell them im a garbage man cause everyone i tell im a dog trainer askes a million questions regarding there dog.
