Harley used to be super on. I had a tread on teaching real calm as he would lay down but was highly wired. I could not move and he would charge the door.
Teaching him was painfull but now life is better. Still there are some triggers that send him off the walls.
I think that he does sleep now and then. He was my Taz devil.
Katie I get migraines too, weird thing is he senses that I feel horrible and he's "nicer" to me then. I leave him kenneled for long as I can and stay in the dark, then when I let him out in the yard I'll sit on the porch steps and throw a ball for him covering my right eye from the light ugh. Then I leave him on the porch and he'll be good for a while. He can be a very sweet dog sometimes.
Ariane, that exactly what Logan does when I put him in a down on his bed....I just lean over and reach for another paint brush and he leaps up like "Oh boy!" and I'm like "dude, chill, lay down" and he sighs. Sometimes he just stares at me and does this constant throat whiny sound...I put on my headphones and ignore him. But its kind of creepy knowing he is staring at me the whole time.
I think we need to play the "shell game" some, it helps with self control.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
