.... Ahhh, memories of being able to head bang all night, and the subsequent headache and hissing ears all the next day
And thinking at 1:30 a.m. or so on a weeknight, "No problem .... I'll just sleep fast."
Oh absolutely, getting to bed at gone midnight, up at 6.00am for work, then doing it all again the next night, now it's "Good God! it's half ten, I should have been in bed half an hour ago!"

I ran an elevator all through high school. Friday nights for me usually meant my buddies were going to drop me off at work come Saturday morning. Really old, fast, manual elevators Where the operators controlled how fast and where it stopped. The first couple of hours were real stomach turners on Saturdays.
I had some great time on Friday nights though......I think.

Man. I look back with gratitude on NOT riding that elevator Saturday mornings.

This was back in the day when secretaries actually brought the bosses their morning coffee from the lobby coffee shop. Watching them bounce around on quick stops with a coffee cup in both hands did make the mornings a bit easier to take. That and watching them break their high heels off in the gap between floor and elevator. Didn't matter how many times I said "Watch your step please".

Staying up half the night, ears ringing the next day, hung-over elevator operators, gee, you guys are just so sentimental!
Here's one that always makes me dance. The dogs have actually witnessed this and think I'm crazy (in a fun kind of way)! Anybody actually see them live?

I never did.
I have one small dog who likes to be picked up to dance. He looks up at the ceiling light, and when the dance is over he staggers dizzily a little. But he always comes running when I turn on music and say "Wanna dance?" so I guess he doesn't care about dizzy after-effects. Or maybe that's his favorite part.
I'll see if he likes to dance to early Beatles.

I personally think that just throwing your inhibitions out the window and dancing like a fool with your dogs is very therapeutic (probably for humans and canines alike).

Well, I agree, but my other dogs don't.
I do remember my mother waltzing with our old dog Duke, who as I recall was some kind of hound mix, with him standing on his back paws; he was always ready and eager to dance.
All I have is one I have to carry, but hey, that's better than no dog-dancing-partner at all! Plus I have a canine audience. LOL

Okay, forgive me, but thinking of dancing with dogs reminded me of this classic. I'm sure everyone has seen it, but it never fails to make me laugh. This is a music thread, not a dance thread, so I'm veering off topic, I know......
