You know he was (director) John Ford's son-in-law? And that he also sang with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra?
He was with John Wayne in Rio Grande, The Quiet Man, The Alamo, The Wings of Eagles, The Searchers .... not to mention that he was also in The Horse Soldiers, How The West Was Won, and Mister Roberts.

Of course, I don't know any of this first hand. Really old people told me .... my father, Bob Scott. etc.
Ha, never knew that, or what Connie mentioned. I was never much of a TV buff. I was a BRAT, moving around all the time, my early years were subtitles. I loved Gunsmoke and westerns, AND

Are you saying that Ken Curtis was in those movies with John Wayne? I know they were directed by John Ford. I think I may have seen all those movies and don't remember Ken Curtis in them. Re runs of course.
Ken Curtis (Festus) was also with the singing group "Sons of the Pioneers". In addition to their own albums they did a lot of backup singing for Roy Rogers, Gene Autrey, etc.
Yes...I did see them in person when they sang at a rodeo here. I was just a tiny little boy at the time but I recall seeing Connie riding bulls at that rodeo. When the 8 second buzzer rang she jumped off the bull and it ran from her. She caught it and ate it. She's was full of bull then also.
You'll find them dotting the corners of our big city, and busking around the train station. I always like to give a listen to street performers.
