I already had plans to go to a "Reveal Party". It was a first for me. A few weeks ago, we found out that my granddaughter was to become a big sister. Her parents (when you become a grandparent, your child's status change from "My son" to "the baby's parents") asked that they not be told the sex of the baby, and instead, had the results sent to a friend. The friend filled a huge box with appropriately colored balloons. We had a party, and at the big moment, Mom and Dad released the balloons, which were pink. Another granddaughter for me!

I had never heard of a reveal party either. What fun!

I love the Satchmo selections.
When my younger daughter was a baby, she loved it when my mother would sing Hello Dolly. She was pre-standing age, but she'd wave her arms, kick her feet (air dancing?), and laugh with delight.
