I've had complete strangers come up to me and tell me my GSD cross was F'ed up looking, and what is that thing? He's also been referred to as a Dingo
I had a crack head scream at me, "That's a massive and he doesn't have the right tags. He needs colored tags! I'm calling animal control." I think he meant mastiff and I called animal control to see if maybe he was right. He wasn't I was worried for a second lol
I frequently used to get the "are they going to turn on me?" from friends and relatives. Finally I got tired of explaining and said, gee, I don't know, maybe I shouldn't of, but the look on people's faces that that response elicits makes it worth it I would never say that to a stranger but friends and family are fair game. When they've said negative things about my first mastiff cross I would tell him to give them kisses, and he would, sometimes holding them down to do so. Nobody talks crap about my dogs in front of me anymore Not unless they want kisses from a big slobbery dog
WooHoo! A "Massive"! I'll put that right up there with Dovermans and Rockwilders!

I had to laugh at your post, Becky!
I used to work at an animal hospital, and one of our clients was very proud of his purebred "King Rockweiler."
What a dull world this would be if everyone was as brilliant as all of us on this board
LOL, LOL, I love it!! I have also heard people call mastiffs 'massives'. I thought at first it was just a pun... then I bit my tounge and just smiled. Oh boy....

I got into a discussion with a lady in another town that swore my 100 pound Bloodhound was not a hound but a Beagle cross.....YIKES
She told me that "They don't breed Bloodhounds anymore."
My husband and I just laughed and it offended her because she huffed off in a hurry.
I want to know what you can breed with a Beagle to get a 100 lb dog?????
