I'm in the Northwest Territories, Yellowknife to be exact. I find it really hard to find people who share my passion for GSD's and who are interested in dog training. We only have one K-9 officer for the whole territory and he's really busy.
Bradley... yes - there is useful information in the how to raise a working puppy that can be applied to adults, I watched this at a friends house the other day and I must say, it confirmed that even though I did some things wrong with my current GSD, I also did most things right <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> And the things I did wrong are things I am able to go back and work on with my dog today, it won't have the exact influence on him that it would have had as a puppy, but it is still useful training.
Bradley it is never to late for good handleing or training.
A perfect example is the fact that most people have to travel to title or compete with their dogs. Teaching a dog of any age that its normal to sleep in new places (I.e. crates in the car) will reduce stress when you have to go title your dog. (just remember it takes about 10 minutes to kill a dog left in a hot car in the summer)
I just edited in some comments in the front of this thread - you can go back and read it.
