Hi, does anyone with this vac also have hardwood floors? Just wondering whether it messes up the flooring (i.e., because of weight, etc.). Our old house is about 90% hardwood.
Wooody,
we've had like 5 good vacum threads within the past six months and we were just talking about the Dyson very recently - the "search" function is your friend!
I am sooooooo waiting for someone to post links to a vacum cleaner forum.
This person would get my vote for the "Uber Geek" award, previously held by the forum member that actually posted links to "lawn growing" forums in our threads sbout the lawns problems in the past..
I did not mean to spin wheels here. It was just a quick question about a pretty darn expensive piece of equipment about which many forum members are obviously enthused. I took it to PM, which I should have done. Sorry about any time I have wasted.
But, for what it is worth, there are indeed some vacuum discussion forums embedded in the misc.consumers newsgroups at Google. including one that's private around vacuum customization, which I don't really like thinking about.
i don't know anything about that brand, but we have had a Kirby for some years now,and it is the only one that we have had that survives all the fur we have around here, and that is really saying something that it can handle rough collie fur! i think that one factor in a machine's longvevity is the degree to which the owner can dismantle it for cleaning out things. if we couldn't take it apart this one would have gotten wrecked in no time... Kirbys are so expensive, but when you consider the cost of replacing several vacs,it works out to be cost effective in the long run.
Woody....I'm getting worried about you my friend........ Pretty soon you'll be talking about "Star Trek" and slide ruler's ....

If Spock devised a way to pick up dog hair with a slide rule, I am all ears, tell me the episode. I neglected to let my wife in on the whole shedding issue with GSDs and every day I build up more bad domestic karma... ...if mama ain't happy, neither me nor the dog are, either.
Woody...you can not use the term "Spock" and "I'm all ears" in the same sentance, it's a dead give away.......
