Yea... I finally got approved!
As an update, I found out last week that Gayle Barnes and Ravenwolf have been redlined from the AKC in June of 2005.
She took my deposit for my puppy in December with a contract for a registered dog, knowing that the puppy would not be able to be registered. This constitutes Fraud.
Ripoff is getting a lot of attention yet this Anthony guy is a real piece of work. I'm pretty positive that he is Gayle's ex-husband since the dogs were registered to Tony and Gayle Barnes. He knows way to much about her and the dogs to just be 'friends'.
What's sad about this whole deal is that there are quite a few people who are coming forward. I don't know how she can sleep at night or look herself in the mirror after what she has done. How can she have the nerve to sell me a registered puppy when all along she knew she was not allowed to register any more dogs with the AKC. Why did she not just come out and say that the dogs could not be registered. She tried to pressure me into buying an un-registered dog and I was 'Ah... no way am I going to pay $1,500 for a dog that is not registered'.
I'm heads down on getting my money back and the money for others who have joined in. It's all about principle at this point since she has no morals or conscience about what she has done.

Patricia, Good for you for pushing this issue. I think people like this breeder assume they can run away, or just plain wear out those trying to get what they paid for.
Technically, the puppy would not be old enough for me to take until the end of March. Yet, the contract and my deposit reflect something that I will not receive.... a registered AKC puppy. Right now I'm having the contract legally voided yet can't really say much more about that until it's been finalized.
In addition, part of the contract (both verbal and confirmed via emails from Gayle) was that I would receive information on the birth of the puppy (she finally sent the birth of the puppy when I became upset), pictures of the puppy and pictures of all litter mates, updated pictures of the puppy (weekly)until I would take him home, etc.
There is no way that I would purchase ANYTHING at this price site unseen. To this day, I have not received any pictures of the puppy so I have no way of knowing that the puppy that I purchased IS THE puppy from the parents selected or that he is only one of two litter mates (also paid for pick of the litter male) or he is the puppy that would be delivered.
Yet... the pictures are a mood point at this time since I purchased a registered AKC dog and it's obvious that this will never every happen, under any circumstances and she knew that when she took my deposit.
As far as others, one women in Illinois did not receive an update on the birth of her puppy, photos of her puppy or even her puppy. She is flat out her deposit. Another person received the puppy (on ripoffreport) yet he is not sure if it is the correct puppy since, once again, no updates, no photos, no vet report of shots, no microchip (promised in the contracts) just the puppy dropped off in the middle of the night. The puppy that he received could have been from anywhere/anyone since Gayle had a 'friend' give him the puppy with absolutely no records or photos of the puppy with the parents.
He would have to have the puppy DNA tested to make sure that it wasn't a puppy from somewhere else or a puppy picked up from a shelter.
It's official. I received my letter from the AKC today and I cannot register the registered puppy that I put my deposit on. What makes me even more angry is that she knew it when she took my money.
Ravenwolf Shepherds website is back up and running. Same tacky site that solicites buyers yet STILL does not provide any contact information. No phone number, no address, just an email address.
I want to make a fair and ethical announcement to everyone on this board who have been absolutely wonderful at helping me with information and support during this entire ordeal.
At 3:08 p.m. this afternoon I received a FedEx package from XXX breeder with a cashier's check enclosed for a full refund of my $1,000.00 deposit. I've contacted my attorneys with the information along with all of the other victims in this case.
We will then decide what to do with the refund check since it would probably be more appropriate to donate to a GSD rescue or equally divide with all of the victims since I would have never been able to get this far without all of your assistance.
Anyway, thanks again and I will keep you posted.
