i need my dog to have an on/off switch. that isn't so important in a PPD i suppose.
Tim,
Thats my dogs have been PPD's and I recently sold a dog that I was going to use for myself on the Macon, GA PD and after re-enlisting I sold him to a department in VA, but I likewise used him for demonstrations, and did one exercise where he would civil up on the guy and he get all nasty, then I would tell him friend and and let the guy pet him, he would likewise rub up on him like a cat. Then we would part and I civil him right back up on the guy, That was just for demonstration though just to show that the dog was indeed very stable and only bit if there was a threat and if I said so. I likewise use to take this dog into my daughters school and gave bite prevention exercise, and explained to the kids why it's necessary to train your dogs in OB. My wife is rushing me out the door to chucky cheese so I have no time to write all I need to now, but I think we may be miscommunicating and actually I think we **see** eye to eye about this but possibly go about it in a different way. Gotta go she's going to shoot me in a second, LOL <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
PS: in closing an ON/OFF switch is VERY important in a PPD, if it is truely PP then the dog needs to be with you where you go alot.
