You are correct...it was addressed to Amanda. Sorry about the confusion.
Good point about timing, you're completly correct. I would take it a step further and say that if you can anticipate the behavior before it occurs...even better (usually a less correction level is needed before the act than during or after) and seems to be much more effective in my limited experience.

Sorry it's been so long everyone. We did take him into the vet and a UTI was ruled out, he is in perfect health. Which makes me VERY happy. So, we're just continueing our method with firm correction, taking the water away after 6pm and praising him well when he does go outside.
We also purchased a larger crate for a him a couple days ago (Amazing how FAST they grow!)... he has not peed in it once. He's had NO accidents in the house in 4 days. YAY! So I think... I'm just trying to move forward TOO fast and expecting too much at once? He's doing great. <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
