These are the ones I own so far that have helped me quite a bit. I have a friend in that has been in Schutzhund for 20+ years and she and her husband have an extensive Leerburg Library so I have access to others that I need or want to view.
Not sure if this is the correct order but it is the order I bought them and watched them in. And of course I go back to them for reference purposes also.
Hope it helps and congrats on your pup. Have fun.

Did you know that Cesar Milan was a cliet to Leerburg, and Ed respects his work? If you get a dog training video, I would suggest the Leerburg videos... I've started my own library of them--and my GSD did a complete 360 in one month. At 8 months old we really didn't have her respect, my fiance was ready to bring her back to the breeder because he thought that she was the "runt" and the "reject" of the litter and that we were "had" by the breeder. Boy was he wrong. Now she's 13 months old and my fiance and Shaed(GSD) have a great relationship, and now she listens to him too! Anyway, back to the point. Cesar has alot of good points and he has alot of the same knowledge as Ed does. So, happy training video hunting and good luck!

how do I quote ... I will try and be more diligent in my searching the site rather than discussing things with the forum first.

About "search" : I didn't mean that you should apologize for asking a question that has been covered extensively. What I meant was that you are overlooking the biggest resource if you don't "search" first. You're likely to come up with dozens (or hundreds) of immediate answers instead of waiting for new answers to trickle in. Also, after you search, you might have a better idea of just what aspect of your topic is still unclear.
I don't have a problem with Millan at all, a lot of what he says does make a bunch of sense to me. It's all the little fanatic followers he has that before his show couldn't tell a dog from a coffee table that get on my nerves. I've heard several that don't even have a dog giving out advice based on what they saw on TV, acting like they actually understand what the hell they are talking about.
I'm in the Film/Video business, so I have to wonder about what crucial parts of his "treatments" get edited out of the show for lack of good entertainment value, other than that the guy appears to know what he is doing.

I've seen shows where it appears that he uses a choke collar to lift the dog's front paws off the ground to take its air away from it as Ed Frawley describes how to use the DD collar. Of course, the part where the dog is just hanging there and flailing its front paws is edited out. However, based on the dramatic behavioral change in the aggressive dog, it sure does seem that Cesar employed the hanging. I don't think the general public is ready to see that, even if Cesar is dealing with a dangerous "red zone" dog.
I love his show. I've learned a lot from him, especially since I own a few Leerburg DVDs and I see that he uses a lot of the Leerburg techniques.
