I hate the fact there is so much prejudice against certain breeds, but in a way I'm happy knowing the chance of somebody messing with me while I have my pitbull is less likely than if I was walking a little poodle :-)
Me too! I would have never gone for walks at night with my parents old dog( a shih tzu x poodle) She would've peed all over before helping me in a tight spot. Glad I have my GSD.
I get questions about what kind of dog she is sometimes, she's a sable, not the everyday "show" gsd look that everyone is used to seeing. I get the "is she part wolf" thing too, ignorant people-judging something they have no knowledge of it before hand, the reason there is breed discrimination. Sad really.

Dennis: Too funny! I must admit, I slipped up on occasion and in response to the 100th "is he part-wolf" query would reply, "well because he's a rescue I dont know for sure, but I think maybe so." So wrong, but so funny to me.
