Um, the SUBMIT button for posts doesn't work now in Mozilla Firefox, nor does the new hover-the-mouse thing , and there's still no way to fix my real name on the user profile page. Other than that, I don't really miss the pictures at top and I like the who posted last feature. A bit disorienting to go immediately to the last post, but not a problem - I think it'll just take getting used to.

anita: being that i'm a web developer myself, i tried to take a quick look and see why it wasn't working for me either. turns out, it was just a stale cache entry for one of the scripts. in firefox, if you hold control while you press f5 (or click the refresh button) it forcibly refreshes everything - saving you the hastle of clearing your whole cache.
after doing that, the preview + submit buttons both seem to work just fine for me.
P.S. ed, I like the way that clicking on a thread in "active topics" goes to the last post now, instead of having to click whichever link it was in the rightmost column. there is also something slightly different about the color scheme that i can't put my finger on, but I'm noticing subconciously it's more pleasing to the eyes. great job.

I wonder...Does the Change My Mood pop up next to my name (upper right corner) appear and show everyone I'm having a confused day?
Hmmm...I can't tell...I'm apparently offline now You don't look confused to me Maybe you're showing up offline when you're not cause your preferences have you on "invisible while online"?

I dragged this thread back from the dead to see if I'm the only one bothered by something. If I am...I'll chalk it up to the fact that I'm either getting old or cranky or both !
When I am answering/creating a post or when I go to read the thread choices page, there are four pictures - one on the left and three on the right of the screen that constantly change to show new products. Great for Ed to sell products maybe, but for me, I find it irritating and distracting.
I find myself doing one of four things to avoid the flashing: using my hand to cover the pics (which gets really, really annoying), trying to scan the thread page quickly so as to minimize the flashing, trying to read others' posts quickly to, again, minimize the flashing coming at me or I actually log off.
So just curious, does it bother anyone else ??

I did not notice that until you mentioned it. I liked it when the pictures were across the top, but this way does not effect me too much, but it is a bit distracting in the way that I have a feeling that I will spend more money.....hee hee
I do like most of the changes though.

That bothers you Judy?
You must be more visually sensitive than the rest of us then... I can see how annoying it would be if it were THAT distracting
Personally, no, it doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I really like seeing the new links and product pictures appear. It makes it more interesting and stimulating (I get bored from seeing the same pictures all the time lol).
Judy, try this: make your browser window resizable (not maximized - click on the button in the top right-hand corner of the window, the button between the one to close the window and the one to minimize) and pull the sides of the browser window in to make the window more narrow. That way you can use the horizontal scroll to center your window on the threads and cut off the sides of the page.
That would eliminate the flashy images from your view - problem solved!

Judy,
I had to open a reply to you, then look. I hadn't even noticed it. Either you are unable to focus, or I am unaware of my environment. My wife and daughter would say it's the latter
