I was actually a little concerned about the pics with the kid, too. I was wondering how much their training philosophies would matter, if I wasn't having them train my dog. I'm just trying to cover all my bases with research first.

Did you see the pic of the dog with the little kid with the sleeve on?
Why would anyone risk a child using them as a decoy?
If I offend anyone, I apologize, but I think that is absolutely stupid. He is welcome to train the way he wants BUT I think those pictures would make people who are serious about the dogs and know these types of dogs think twice before purchasing a dog from him.
Would anyone else out there allow this?
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
Under certain circumstances I don't see a problem with a child taking a bite on a sleeve from an easy dog with zero impact perhaps with an adult standing behind the child just to make sure nothing goes wrong. Kids want to join in with what their parents do, so giving them a controlled experience is no big deal, bitework is pretty much zero risk if you know the dog and the handler is competent, I was less worried about that than some of the other stuff I saw on the site. I've known alot of people to let their kids try it, but the dog is brought to them so there's no impact n the dogs used are always very easy very sleeve oriented low intensity dogs.
Ohh! LOL. Funny, funny. Gotcha It's late, kinda, ish. I was taking this thread seriously n you go off n be funny, that's like trying to get my pup to switch from food to playing tug at the end of tracking, kinda slow but gets there in the end
"All puppies will be vaccinated before they leave the kennels"
If you look on there home page it says: "Breeding Working German Shepherds" but then click on the About US page and you find this:
"We produce two types of German Shepherds. You can either choose from our Working Lines with most coming from Czech, Slovak, DDR or German Lines. For those looking for more we offer outstanding VA, V rated West German Show lines. With many well known VA, V, SG rated dogs in our breeding program you will see in these wonderful pedigrees. Some of our dogs go back to Ursus von Batu, Baru v.h. Yu, any many more. All our German Shepherds are either trained in Protection, Schutzhund or other dog sports."
But I did find one positive thing. If you go to his link page he has a link to Leerburg Video & Kennel
