Enrique you are so caring about her, I hope she gives you lots of years to come, she is definitely a very nice looking female and i mean nice looking in the work department too...
Your male is a ham..
Good to see you have found yourself a green dog prospect! He is a good looking dog and I am partial to him already since he is a Xant Son and we are starting to see more of his progeny as time goes by.
Anyway, I have to agree with what Will said though.
There is no way that I would by a dog on my own that was "Trained" by someone else for me to buy. I simply do not have the experience to do this and I am not alone.
You hear "things" that happen to people when they buy these kind of dogs and sometimes it is not good. This is no disrespect of Hans, it is just smart to protect your money. Finding someone like Will in your area to do third-party testing serves you and you alone in your best interest. Because when you buy him he is yours for life. If he does not cut it in real life situations, you have to make a decision to re-home him,cut your losses and start over.
Smarter to find out before as the price to have someone else test him is negligible to the money you will spend in the long run with the above situation. If he refuses to allow you to do this, I would pass.
Is there anybody in Arizona who can help me out? I guess they'll send the dog there first. I'm in Minnesota. But if anybody knows of anyone please PM or just post it here. Thanks.
Enrique, I don't know if this will be of any help to you at all, nor if it's even a good way to go as far as having someone test the dog in question so you may want to ask the others experienced with this on the board, but if you go to this website http://www.psak9.org/ you'll see the first 2 winners of the PSA Nationals, Open Division, who both live here in Phoenix. I talked to them both about training my GSD for PPD and settled on the 2nd place guy. There are also 2 judge/decoys (not sure which they are, probably decoys for PSA events) who live in AZ as well. You'll find their names if you click on the "Approved Decoy/Judge List" on the left hand side. I haven't met either of them.
