O my! That's both interesting and very sad. The vet didn't teach you guys how to insert a stomach tube to release the gas? I thought that was normal for dogs who bloat frequently.
I feed my dog 3 times a day at 16 mos. I'm lucky my/wife's schedule allows for this. Once every other week, I'll fast her for a day, but I don't want to have to deal with bloat, so if it takes me an extra 5 mins to feed her an extra meal. I'll do it.
I know animals in the wild go through some major excercise before a meal (hunting), then gorge until they are full because they might not eat for days. Is there any proof Wolves don't bloat? I've wondered that.
