What does the breeder think? I would be interested in knowing which pup the breeder thought would be right for me for such an important job. They will know the pups as they have matured and it will give a better all around picture than you can get from visiting the pups occasionally.
They will hopefully have the exeperience to say what the slight difference in temperments now, might translate into later, because they know their lines/dogs best. If they have experience selling PSD and think that both are of equal quality...lucky you getting a choice but it probably really doesn't matter witch one you pick then so go with your gut.
the big one is very vocal he gets mad when he goes in his kennel and barks and carries on for about ten minutes before he settles down
I wouldn't let that bother you when they're this young. You may find that the one you thought was quieter will be pretty noisy when you take him from away his mom and littermates.
You said you were looking for a 'dual purpose' dog. Do you mean working AND a pet? If you think that they're both showing good early drives and potential for whatever traing you have planned, then I would go with whatever one will also fill that squishy side of you that also wants a pet.
i stuck with my original pick which was the larger one he is doing great last night he made it from 10pm to 5 am which was great for a 7 week old he is getting use to his kennel too not as much barking and whining thanks for all the replies
