We are ironing out all the fine details here and there are a few important details that I previously forgot about.
If you have a dog that you will enter in SCHI-III and want to participate in tracking, you will need to be at the club no later than 7AM on Saturday 9/8/07. We will lay tracks at that time for those that get up early but not after this time.
Anyone wanting to do a BH, 9AM is still fine.
Remember you need to be a current member of USA to participate in this event. Anyone wanting to track their dog, please PM me and I will add you to the list.
Art and all the rest at IronDog put on a great affiliation trial. Thanks to everyone for their warm welcome and best of luck with all your future events!
Looks like everyone in all your pictures had fun, great pictures
Whos' dog is that in the picture with the little girl wearing glasses ?(adorable little girl) that's a good looking dog.
Thanks for sharing..
I had a chance to go down there......a bit late but I made it. I used my dog as a warm up dog for the decoys for the trial ( Art was doing the front half) and I can say this, Art has been doing helper work for just around two months, and he is as good as some of the guys that have been doing it for two years. He put alot of effort into making this happen and ran a good event in spite of only being in schutzhund for just around 2 months. I think he likes to study things a lot before diving into it!! And to top that, he has a super young puppy that I am sure we will see on the trial fields in the near future.
I met Art back at the Flinks seminar I hosted back in May and I was hoping that he would really get into this sport. Well he has and done more then some have in years.
Thanks also needs to go to Jason for his nice field and coooool barn. I think the dogs are most gratefull for that. And Jason is not too bad of a decoy to boot too.
I hope I can get Art to come up to train in Gainsville so I can put a load of dogs on him from our group here. My only regret is that I could not help him more with the event, but I think he managed well! I think we will see alot from Art in the coming years.
Hot Dog! That's my boy in those first pictures of Iron Dog (http://shellshots.biz/schutzhund/Irondog/album/index.html). Don't know why Art is smiling, though - Parek took him down a couple weeks ago
Anyway, we had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came, and especially to Art and Jason for getting this club off to a roaring start. Parek and I have learned so much just in the month or so I've been training down there. A great club with plenty of diverse experience to draw upon and learn from. And friendly, to boot!
