Although unlikely, maybe she has a defective collar everyone.
You never know. The Dogtra 1700 that I bought has a tester that came with it. You put it on the prongs and see if it lights up when a button is pressed on the transmitter.
Sarah, after reading your last post it sounds likely that the collar may be a little loose and I would tighten it by one hole.
Sometimes when I put a collar on my dog, he'll do something with his neck that makes it seem the collar is tight enough and if I wait a few seconds it loosens up and I can tighten it a bit more. Kind of like some horses that swell up their belly when you go to put a saddle on . You think it's tight, you step in the stirrup, the saddle turns, you end up on your butt on the ground.
I think they do tense their neck making it bigger. That dumb old dog ain't as dumb we think! I go back after a few minutes to check it, then adjust as needed.

I'm so glad I caught this. This must be what my dog is doing with the prong. I can come up with no other explanation for why his perfectly-fitting prong is suddenly too small some days.
